About Us

Mission Statement
Fishin’ for a Cure is dedicated to bringing hope and support to those in need through community-driven fishing events and fundraising to make a difference for individuals battling breast cancer through fishing, fun, and fellowship.

Where We Are
Fishin’ for a Cure is a 501c3 charitable organization that began in Eastern North Carolina and now has a statewide reach. We were founded in Emerald Isle, NC. Our events are held in various locations in North Carolina, including Greensboro, Wilson, Dobson, Archdale, Mount Airy, Cape Carteret, Morehead City and Emerald Isle.

Achievements and Impact
In 12 years, Fishin' for a Cure has raised over 1.6 million dollars directly benefiting breast cancer patients, caregivers, and their families.

Fishin' for a Cure Weekend 2026 - Anchored in Hope
Join us October 9-12 for an incredible weekend of festivities!
We look forward to the fellowship, fun, and festivities, but Fishin' For A Cure is most excited about making a difference! We hope you join us for this incredible weekend. Friday, October 9, is an art workshop. Saturday is a block party, Cornhole for a Cause, art vendors, auctions, Pink Pint Night with music and food available for purchase. Sunday is the Pokerfish tournament, followed by a dinner to celebrate our sponsors and volunteers. The weekend ends on Monday with a golf tournament at Star Hill Golf Club.

Resin Workshop for a Cure
Join us as local artist Sharon Churchill guides you through creating your own crushed glass and resin art!
This is a fun, hands-on workshop that will kick off the weekend anchored in hope. The registration fee includes all supplies and one drink ticket.

Anchored in Hope Festival
Anchored in Hope is our opening day of a weekend of fun, fellowship and fundraising.
Start at Flipperz with Tutus for Tatas sponsored by the Emerald Isle Parrotheads. Register at 9:00am. Walk begins at 10:00am.
Check-in for the weekend events begins at 11:00 am at Thirsty Surfer. Hope for the heART will feature a wide variety of art experiences, bidding, and on-site vendors donating a portion of their proceeds to Fishin' for a Cure. Cornhole for a Cause begins at 1:00pm.
Back by popular demand, Pink Pint Night will begin at 6pm at Thirsty Surfer. For a $10 donation, you can be part of a community event that has been a fan favorite for years. 50/50 raffle drawing, a silent auction, food, and live music.

Saturday, October 10
9 AM Tutus for Tatas Walk at Flipperz. 11 AM Check-in begins. 1 PM Cornhole for a Cause. 6 PM Pink Pint Night, 50/50 raffle drawing, a silent auction, food, and live music.
PokerFish Tournament 2026
When: Sunday, October 11, 2026 | 9:30am-1:00pm
Where: Beside the Bogue Inlet Pier, 100 Bogue Inlet Dr, Emerald Isle, NC
On the beach with a pole in the ocean, including fishing tournament and fellowship. Open to all, with registration fees benefiting FFAC. Includes an event shirt. Make plans to spend the day on the beach! Check-In begins at 9:30am. Rules at 10:45 and lines in at 11:00.
New this year is a kids fishing experience beginning at at 1:15.
Awards at 2:30pm.

Join us as we Go Pink on the Green for breast cancer. Part of Fishin' for a Cure's annual weekend fundraiser, we are ready to swing the clubs and dress to impress at this annual golf tournament!
