It’s the perfect year to celebrate! Can’t believe we are kicking off our 6th year.  Lots of location changes this year as we continue to grow and grow. Join us as we host the GALA event at The Trading Post. We are having a night of fundraising and celebrating. Winners of the BIG raffle tickets will be announced.  Starting at 6:30, join us at The Post for amazing food, live music by Steve Owens and the Sunshine Band, a Silent Auction, and tons of fun. This event is perfect for everyone…don’t miss this great evening celebrating survivors as we prepare for a week full of fishing, fun and fellowship. 

“BIG” Raffle Tickets:

This year we have 650 raffle tickets up for grabs. $50 each and the prizes are awesome. 1stprizes: One of Two Golf Carts 2ndprize: Weeklong Oceanfront house rental in Emerald Isle, 3rdprize: 5 person Offshore Fishing Trip on the Current Sea. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to win a great prize. 

Dollar Raffle Items

If you are interested in donating any dollar raffle items, please email fishin4acure@gmail.com by September 21st and let us know what you will be donating. Barbara Swann is the contact person for these items. Raffle tickets are $1.00 and can be purchased during pre-registration or on-site throughout the week. Raffle items will be announced on Friday night October 12th. Raffle money will go to Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test (Earlier.org). 


1.   Participants are encouraged to pre-register online. $25.00 per person which includes a shirt. 35.00 after September 8th. 

2.   Participants can also register in front of Admiral’s Watch on the beach the day of the event for $35. Supplies will be provided until we run out.

3.   All participants MUST check in October 7th on the beach in front of Admiral’s Watch.  Participants must check in between 9:00-10:00am to sign a waiver and receive your fishing rules and wristband.  

4.   Fishin’ Rules will begin promptly at 10:30am in front of Admiral’s Watch. Poles will be in the water at 11:00am. 

5.   Participants are responsible for their own fishing license. 

6.   $5 Poker Mulligans available. One per person/two per team. 


1.   Sunday, October 7th: This competition is meant to get all involved even if you don’t “fish.” Decorate your fishing pole to celebrate survivors, spread awareness, and celebrate the pink in our lives. 

2.   $10.00 entry fee per pole. $15.00 after September 8th. 

3.   Registration can occur online or on-site at Admiral’s Watch. Check-in between 9:00-10:00am the morning of the competition. 

4.   Decorated poles should be displayed by 10:15am in front of the check-in table.

5.   Creativity, Style, and Uniqueness will be considered. 

6.    1stplace will be awarded.

Registration Information:

You will go to www.fishinforacure.comto complete your registration.  Each person will need to complete the form for registration and/or merchandise.  The early-bird online registration deadline is SEPTEMBER 8, 2018.  Prices will increase after September 8th. You can register for packages, single events, or merchandise all in one location!

GALA (Saturday) Tickets & PARTY TIME (Friday) Tickets:

Tickets are also being sold a la carte for $60 during early bird registration. Both events will be private until 8:00pm. Steve Owens and the Sunshine Band will be playing Saturday night, October 6th and Jim Quick and the Coastline Band will be helping us celebrate Friday night. $70 after September 8th.  


The corn hole tournament will be held on Tuesday at The Trading Post. At 12:30PM,  Hot Dogs available for donation. Registration/Check-In begins at 1:00pm. At 2:15pm, check-in will end. The tournament will begin at 3:00pm. $10.00 per person. $20.00 per person after September 8th. 

Pink Pint is a fun time!

Join the FAB Band on Pink Pint Night. For a $10.00 donation, you will receive a pint doozie and a beverage ticket. Join us as we celebrate survivors! Don't be surprised if a live auction happens before your eyes!

Once you’ve registered, an itemized bill will be sent to the email you provide in the form. You can pay via credit card, bank transfer, cash or check. If paying by credit card, a $5 donation is requested to cover credit card fees.

Checks, payable to Fishin' for a Cure, can be mailed to 7503 Sound Drive, Emerald Isle, NC 28594. Registration payment must be postmarked no later than September 21, 2018. Otherwise, registration payment must be made on-site.

Hope Fund

The Hope Fund was set up to be able to provide assistance to those who have been diagnosed with cancer. This fund is used particularly to assist those who are near and dear to our organization. If anyone in your lives needs assistance, email fishin4acure@gmail.comfor an application. 

Tutus for Tatas:

Emerald Isle Parrotheads are hosting this event this year again! We had a great time last year and it is an awesome 

fundraiser for Fishin’ for a Cure. October 13th, beginning at Flipperz, participants take a walk down Emerald Drive to the Emerald Club. Participants are HIGHLY encouraged to dress in their best pink outfit and strut their stuff down the road. $10.00 a person…and so much stinking fun! There are prizes for best dressed and a pink champagne toast at the end of the race.

We are proud to announce that we Mission Partners with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Together, we will impact scientific research, assist the underserved and unify people for a common cause. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund recognizes the impact we have made over the last four years. By providing us with national recognition, they are eager to help advance our efforts.  


BEAT THE RUSH…WE ARE OFFERING EARLY BIRD PICK UP: Participants, who are pre-registered and on the island, can come pick up their registration materials on Thursday, October 4th from 4-7.

Go Pink on the Green Golf Tournament 

We are proud to host the golf tournament this year at Star Hill Country Club in Cape Carteret. You can register at www.fishinforacure.com. Pre-registration ends September 15th. It was a ton of fun last year and we are positive it will be another highlight of the week this year. Get your best dress together and start practicing. The Club is offering a member rate to replay again during the week. Check-in at the course will occur at 7:30am. $5 Mulligans available: one per person/4 per team. Shotgun start at 8:30am.

Can’t wait to see your PINK on the Green.
